Guizhou's first low-altitude flight service base opens for business

On the first day of the May Day holiday, the newly completed Guiyang Low-Altitude Flight Service Base in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, welcomed its first group of flight tourists.

As a core area for low-altitude research and manufacturing in Guiyang's low-altitude development strategy, Xiuwen has utilized its clear airspace, convenient transportation, and diverse real-world applications to explore a "low-altitude+" diversified development model.

Xiuwen has introduced Guizhou Silver Eagle Aviation Co, which is pioneering applications such as air shuttle services, emergency rescue, and low-altitude logistics, while advancing the construction of the Guiyang Low-Altitude Flight Service Base and research-education facilities to create a low-altitude economy industrial cluster.

The base, completed in late April, features a 600-meter runway, a 9,000-square-meter integrated training and office building, a 3,000-sq-m assembly workshop, and a 500-sq-m low-altitude aircraft exhibition hall.

These facilities form a comprehensive industrial chain system integrating R&D, manufacturing, service training, and real-world applications. During the May Day holiday, the base deployed two helicopters and three fixed-wing aircraft to provide aerial sightseeing tours for visitors.

"Ticket sales for the May Day holiday have been extremely strong. This morning alone, over 60 passengers experienced aerial tours of Xiuwen's four major scenic spots via our helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft," said Li Song, executive deputy general manager of Guizhou Silver Eagle Aviation Co.

"Moving forward, we will use the Guiyang Low-Altitude Flight Service Base as a hub to connect scenic areas in Tongren, Renhuai, and other regions, expanding our aerial tourism network," Li said.
