Kazakhstan's low-altitude economy industry center inaugurated in Almaty

Focusing on the role of artificial intelligence, the low-altitude economy, cybersecurity and green technology in the country's economic development, the Digital Farabi 2025 Forum was recently held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, opened the forum, which featured speakers from NVIDIA, ASUS, UWEE Group and Kaspersky.

Li Zhongjun, vice-president of UWEE Group, provided insights for developing Kazakhstan's low-altitude economy, highlighting regulatory reform, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) innovation and protecting ecosystems.

During the event, UWEE Group signed an MoU with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Kazakhstan March Digital Economy Industrial Park to establish the Kazakhstan Low-Altitude Economy Industry Center. The Center is expected to drive regional cooperation, technical standardization and cross-border applications in Central Asia's low-altitude sector.

In the future, the Center aims to advance smart air traffic systems, industrial UAV applications and commercialization of new technologies, positioning Kazakhstan as a regional leader in this emerging field, UWEE Group said.
