China hosts?Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon worldwide

In celebration of International Tea Day on May 21, China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has been organizing a series of "Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon" events since the beginning of May, held in various countries around the world.

On May 21, the Third Laoshan International Tea Festival was held at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York. The festival featured tea art performances, traditional dances and music, and an exhibition themed "China's Poverty Alleviation Model: A Case Study of Malipo County".

In addition, the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles hosted the Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon, inviting over 60 guests from various sectors in the United States to enjoy tea and art together, deepening friendships and cultural bonds.

Moreover, a similar Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon was also held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, featuring vibrant cultural performances by Chinese and Sri Lankan artists, including traditional Tibetan dances and Sri Lankan tea picking dances.

In Switzerland, a hundred tea lovers from around the world gathered on the windswept peak of the Grindelwald-First mountain in Switzerland's Bernese Oberland. The Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon there featured traditional Chinese tea ceremonies alongside musical performances, including the guzheng (Chinese zither), violin, Swiss alphorn and accordion, as well as yodeling.

The Chinese Embassy in Austria hosted the Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon on May 21, featuring tea culture lectures, tea lovers’ sharing sessions, and tea tastings. Guests were introduced to the world of Chinese tea culture and gained insight into Eastern aesthetics, lifestyle philosophies, and the rich diversity of traditional Chinese culture.

To celebrate International Tea Day, the Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon was held in Paris on May 21. Centered on the theme "Tea for Harmony", the event focused on an immersive tea culture experience. Combining performances, lectures, interactive activities and intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, it comprehensively showcased the unique charm of Hunan's tea culture.

In addition, the Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon were also held in Kuwait, Japan, Vietnam, Laos and other countries, representing the depth of Chinese tea culture in various forms. These gatherings unite international friends through tea and celebrate global friendship and cultural understanding.
