Two members of the seventh batch of Chinese medical team in Burkina Faso — Tie Bi, deputy director of the Department of Interventional Medicine of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and Yang Xiangxiang, the team's attending physician — assisted medical workers from CHU de Tengendogo in Burkina Faso in successfully performing cerebral angiography through the femoral artery for a patient with cerebral arteriovenous malformation.
It marked the first cerebral angiography procedure at the hospital, symbolizing a breakthrough in neurointerventional diagnosis and treatment.
It can bring hope for emergency and critical patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic cerebrovascular diseases.
