China continues to suspend or removes export controls on some US entities

China will suspend or remove export-control measures on certain United States entities from Tuesday, in line with the consensus reached during last month's high-level China-US economic and trade meeting in Stockholm, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

From Tuesday, China will extend for 90 days the suspension of measures announced on April 4 in Notice No 7 (2025), which covered 16 US entities, while terminating the measures announced on April 9 in Notice No 8 (2025), which applied to 12 US entities, according to a ministry statement released online.

Exporters seeking to supply dual-use items to these firms must apply to the Ministry of Commerce in accordance with the related rules. The ministry will review the applications in line with applicable laws and regulations, and grant approval if the requirements are met.

The statement added that China has adjusted its related unreliable entity list measures on 17 US entities, starting from Tuesday.

Under Chinese laws and regulations, 17 US entities were barred from China-related trade and new investment in April. From Tuesday, China will suspend the measures as they apply to these firms for 90 days.
