Hanikezi's dream of the Atlas qipao

"Change is something very hard, but I'm not nervous at all," says Hanikezi Yimamuniyazi, a Xinjiang designer whose dream is to dress 100 women in Atlas silk qipao. As a traditional local silk, the use of Atlas silk in qipao is unconventional and has received some criticism. Hanikezi faces these doubts by persevering with his vision for fashion.
