The first flock of mandarin ducks has arrived at Taihu Fairy Island in the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, Wuxi, this autumn.
As the morning mist clears from the lake, these ducks glide gracefully in pairs across the emerald waters, bringing a hint of romance and liveliness to the chilly weather.

Mandarin ducks are most active during dawn and dusk, making these times the best for observing and photographing them.

These ducks are selective about their habitat, acting as indicators of environmental health. They thrive only in pristine aquatic habitats with high water quality, abundant forest coverage, and suitable climate conditions.
