China to boost implementation of 'Export to China' initiatives

China will sharpen its implementation plans for the 10 flagship "Export to China" initiatives, step up organizational support and broaden platforms for commercial engagement through country-themed matchmaking, regional cooperation events, links with key trade fairs and targeted procurement programs, said the Ministry of Commerce.

Speaking at a weekly news conference in Beijing, ministry spokesman He Yadong said these efforts are intended to make it easier for high-quality goods and services from other countries to enter the Chinese market.

The commerce official said that as part of China's push to advance opening-up and rebalance trade, the "Big Market for All: Export to China" initiative has been rolled out alongside the China International Import Expo, generating complementary momentum.

The initiative has created new routes for global goods to reach the Chinese market and helped lift the 8th CIIE to a fresh record in intended deals, up 4.4 percent year-on-year to $83.49 billion, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.

"We are inviting governments, trade promotion agencies, business associations and companies globally to take part in the 'Export to China' initiative and tap into the opportunities offered by the country's vast consumer base," said He.
