Shandong electrical engineering company spreads wings across Americas

In Ecuador, SDEE's 225-MVA, 230/138-kV transformer is now online in Guayaquil, connecting to the country's national grid and ending a three-year substation bottleneck that left locals dealing with power outages.

In addition, SDEE recently secured a contract in Chile for seven 250 MVA/500 kV desert-grade transformers, designed for high-altitude, drought and earthquake-prone zones, with the aim of infusing "Shandong wisdom" and "Chinese strength" into Latin America's energy optimization and grid upgrade.

To date, the company's products and services have been introduced to 17 countries across the Americas, including Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador and Honduras, establishing a strong network and customer base in key Central and South American markets. In the first half of this year, the company reported a 19 percent year-on-year revenue increase in the Americas.
