Members of the People's Liberation Army Reserve Service will begin using a new certificate on March 1, according to a statement from the General Office of the Central Military Commission on Wednesday.
The Certificate of PLA Reserve Service Personnel will be easier to identify and will include a built-in chip with high anti-counterfeiting capability, the office said. It will also carry an identification number that will serve as an identity document for Reserve Service personnel.
The Certificate of PLA Reserve Service Officer will be abolished with immediate effect after March 1, the statement said.
