Zhejiang's humanoid robot steps into global manufacturing

A humanoid robot developed by Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co Ltd in Ningbo, has begun steady work at the Turkish production base of Beko, one of Europe's leading home?appliance manufacturers — marking a notable step for China's emerging embodied?intelligence industry.

At the factory, the NAVIAI robot performs tasks with striking precision: tapping touchscreens with 0.1?millimeter accuracy, opening refrigerator doors smoothly, and completing quality?inspection routines with controlled, human?like motion.

According to the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, the robot has now operated on site for four months, becoming one of the first Chinese autonomous humanoid robots to be deployed in an overseas industrial setting.

The Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, established in Haishu district two years ago, focuses on core technologies for embodied intelligence and the development of full?scale humanoid robots. It has already released three generations of products, which are being applied across multiple domestic scenarios.

Beko, whose products reach more than 100 countries, has been accelerating its digital and smart?manufacturing upgrades. After encountering the NAVIAI robot at the World Robot Conference in Beijing last year, the company identified a strong match between the robot's operational precision and its own production needs.

Following months of development, testing, and cross?border logistics, the customized NAVIAI robot arrived in Turkiye in mid?August, accompanied by a technical team for deployment and training.
