Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province has unveiled its development plan for the next five years, aiming to establish itself as a renowned city in industrial and technological innovation, Taihu Lake-Greater Bay Area cooperation, and cultural heritage, while further enhancing its reputation as a modern commercial and industrial powerhouse.
Over the next five years, Wuxi will strengthen its capabilities in data, algorithms, and computing power. The city plans to intensify efforts to attract and develop projects in embodied intelligent robotics and smart terminals. This will position artificial intelligence as a core driver of its high-quality development.
Wuxi will continue to prioritize high-quality urban renewal and refined management, optimizing the spatial layout for production, living, and nature along its lakes, rivers, and the Grand Canal. The city is committed to providing all-age-friendly and universally accessible public services.
By leveraging innovation cooperation centers such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Wuxi aims to actively connect with top domestic and international innovation resources.
It seeks to foster deep integration within the Taihu Lake innovation circle and the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area, achieving mutual benefits through regional collaboration and establishing new competitive advantages in an open economy.
Additionally, Wuxi will explore innovative ways to preserve its cultural heritage, deeply exploring the contemporary significance of Jiangnan, as well as its industrial and commercial cultures. The city also aims to cement its reputation in terms of cultural branding, such as it being widely billed a "national historical and cultural city" and a "UNESCO City of Music".
