NPC deputy dedicated to submarine command

This year marks the fourth time that Zhang Hongxing, an NPC deputy and a member of a submarine detachment under the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command, has attended the two sessions. He told China Daily reporter Peng Yixuan that he never writes letters home before missions — because as a commanding officer, his duty is to lead his submariners to victory and bring them home safely.
