China 4 Oil Giants to Bid for Iraq Oil & Gas Assets

Four Chinese oil tycoons and 37 foreign peers will be invited to the public bidding of exploitation licenses of Iraq's eight oil and gas fields from June 29 to 30, 2009, and the winner can ink a 20-year oil and gas field services contract with the Iraqi government.

It will be the first time that Iraq auctions its exploitation rights of oil and gas fields since the country came up with the oil nationalization policy more than 30 years ago
