Hong Kong stocks close 0.21% up - Aug 3

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks rose 44.87 points, or 0.21 percent to close at 21,457.66 on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,610.18 and 21, 409.81 on a turnover of 68.32 billion HK dollars ($8.8 billion).

Two of four sub-indexes went up, with the properties gaining most, rising more than 1 percent, followed by the finance, edging up 0.42 percent.

The China Enterprises Index, which tracks the so-called H-shares of the mainland-based companies, went down 60.62 points, or 0.5 percent to 12,120.83.
