The largest sovereign wealth funds in the world are now defending their investment roles, suggesting they are a force for global stability.

Representatives at the forum are suggesting that sovereign wealth funds should be treated like any other investors, as long as they disclose their government mandate and act as commercial entities.
The group also says that it is creating a permanent secretariat.
However, the leaders of the forum say the creation of the secretariat doesn't constitute any kind of collaborative investment strategy.
