Green light for private investment in land, resources

China encourages private investment in national land and resources industries, including land reconstruction and resources exploration, according to a website statement by the Ministry of Land and Resources on Monday.

Private investors should be treated equally in the fields of land reconstruction, land supply, mining rights, resources consolidation and mining environment recovery, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, unconventional oil and gas including shale gas, coal bed methane and oil sands will be open to private investors for exploration and development, the statement said.

Private investment will also be allowed in oil and gas exploration and development.
