The new generation of the MINI Cabrio offers even more fun for the sun

The latest MINI Cabrio will delight the fresh air enthusiasts among fans of the tradition-steeped British brand, as the new generation offers wind-in-the-hair enjoyment in only 18 seconds thanks to its powered drop-top.

The new generation of MINI Cabrio convertible in the premium small-size segment offers all-weather, three-in-one authentic MINI driving fun with an automatic soft top that with the push of a button can be up, down or used as a sunroof.

The two-door model's evolutionary exterior and interior design advancements strike a harmonious balance between elegance and sporty flair and express the new generation's more sophisticated character compared to its predecessor.

The fully automatic soft top can be activated at the press of a button, and can even be opened and closed at speeds of up to 30 kilometers per hour. The sliding roof function is available at any speed. And the upright windscreen of the new MINI Cabrio guarantees a refreshing open-top experience for all four seats.

For the first time, there is the option of a MINI Yours soft top featuring an innovative woven Union Jack graphic.

And there is a new generation of engines and suspension technology that enhance the sporty nature of the convertible.

Two petrol engines with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology are available. The Cooper Cabrio is powered by 1.5-liter 3-cylinder outputting 100 kW; while a 2-liter 4-cylinder outputs 141 kW for The Cooper S Cabrio.

The six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission is newly developed for the latest MINI.

The MINI Driving Modes enable an individualized vehicle set-up focusing on ride comfort, sportiness or efficiency. While the torsional rigidity and stiffness of the body structure ensure a significant increase in the characteristic brand agility.

The larger body with a wheelbase of 2,495 millimeters, extended by 28 mm from the previous version, reserves the model's typical proportions while ensuring upgraded interior space in both the front and rear.

In addition to the ride comfort, space and functionality, the new MINI Cabrio presents noticeable progress in material and workmanship quality, not to mention a large selection of innovative driver assistance systems.

Numerous innovative driver assistance systems are available, especially the Park Distance Control with rear sensors as standard.

The range of options for the new MINI generation includes the Head-Up Display, the Driving Assistant system, Parking Assistant and rear view camera.

Special configurations include LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and the MINI Excitement Package, which comprises LED interior and ambient lighting as well as a projection of the MINI logo onto the ground.

The range is rounded off with exclusive MINI Yours and John Cooper Works equipment features.

Optional extras include the Always Open Timer with additional new display content, the MINI Connected app including rain warning function, the two-zone automatic air conditioning with convertible mode, and a wind deflector with reduced weight and optimized handling.

Other functions can be integrated via smartphone by means of apps and used intuitively, conveniently and safely with the MINI operating system.
