Salaries are no longer well-kept secrets with an increasing number of people posting their payslips online.

A search for "payslip" on China's biggest search engine baidu.com yields almost 1.22 million results.

Payslips for government officials, bank staff, foreign trade personnel, securities analysts and the managers of listed companies receive the most hits.

The online payslips are being used as reference points for job hoppers who are negotiating salaries.

But human resources experts warned netizens to take regional differences into account when comparing salaries.
