Murat Sungur Bursa graduated from the Middle East Technical University (B.S in Mechanical Engineering), Turkey. Obtained MBA degree from Ankara Gazi University, Turkey. Currently preparing PhD dissertation on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement in Ankara University Social Sciences Institute, Turkey.

Mr Bursa is managing Zorlu Energy Group's domestic and international energy investments. He has over 30 years of work experience of which 20 years in Turkish Government institutions occupying mostly at high ranked managerial tiers such as undersecretary, general manager and director posts.

Mr Bursa has rich experiences which mainly focused on environmental issues, international affairs, training, development and implementation of multibillion dollar earthquake rehabilitation projects.
