ChiNext stock market down -- May 6

The ChiNext stock market was down Thursday as only 9 of the 79 stocks at China's start-up board for small and medium-sized enterprises were up, while two stocks were suspended from trading.

The board, which is based in Shenzhen and started trading on October 30, 2009, is tailored to the needs of enterprises engaged in independent innovation and other enterprises with great growth potential.
