The imported compact model is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo-GDI engine that generates maximum power of 150kW/6000rpm and boasts peak torque of 265Nm/1750-4500rpm. The coupe has two gearbox options: six-speed manual and automatic. The Veloster accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 224km/h.
The model retails between 167,800 and 214,800 yuan. It is 4250mm long, 1805mm wide and 1409mm high. Its wheelbase is 2650mm long. It competes with Citroen DS4, Volkswagen Scirocco, Volvo C30 and Seat Leon. The Veloster has a unique three-door design with one on the left and two on the right. The model targets young urban buyers pursuing individuality.
