HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$80 to open at HK$16,270 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,762.24 a troy ounce, down $8.66 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.75.
