Aston Martin DBS Volante Dragon 88 China Limited Edition

Luxury British sports car maker Aston Martin unveiled three hand crafted Dragon 88 China Limited Editions for three models at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2012) on Monday.

The Dragon 88 China Limited Editions are reserved for Aston Martin's DBS Volante, Virage Coupe, and V8 Vantage S Coupe, and the amount will be strictly restricted to 88 cars. Each of the 88 cars will feature the bespoke details including the dragon symbol, 24-carat gold plated Aston Martin wing badges.

"The stunning Dragon 88 sports cars, hand-built by our world-class craftspeople in England, reflect the design flair and technical excellence of the luxurious Aston Martin brand," said, Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin.

The details of the Limited Editions, demonstrating the personalization possibilities, are representing the power, strength, and good luck in Chinese folklore.

The traditional Chinese dragon embroidery design on headrests celebrates and references the mystical qualities of the all powerful dragon symbol.

The headrest embroidery design is based on the left-most dragon on the Beijing's famous Nine-Dragon Wall in Beihai Park. And its sinuous form rendered using four thread colors - Metallic Gold, Cream Truffle, Winter Wheat and Kestrel Tan.

Aston Martin, with a particular focus on China's market, will open 13 new dealerships in China this year.
