Last of the tribe: Postman on bicycle

Lin Shiyu is the only village postman in Gongcheng county in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. He delivers the mail on a bicycle as the 15 villages assigned to him are scattered on mountains with narrow roads and single-plank bridges.

Lin, who has worked in the mountainous area for the past 15 years and covered a distance of nearly 50km every day, parked his bicycle for the last time on Dec 31, 2014. For Lin, the happiest part of his job was to see the villagers receiving their mails.
