Toyota's FT-HT concept car, a four-door hybrid exclusively designed for the Chinese market, made its global debut on April 20 at the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2013.

Also known by its Chinese name Yuejia, the car features a powertrain based on Toyota's latest hybrid technology developed in China, which also made a world debut here in Shanghai.

The pillar-less scissor doors open to wide angles, and its low ride makes it easy for passengers to get in and out. The six individual seats in three rows ensure the comfortableness of each passenger. The passenger seat could be turned around facing the four back seats, or folded under the glove box for more space.

Its 2,900mm wheelbase and six individual seats in three rows ensure the comfort of each passenger. The model is specially designed for the Chinese market, targeting customers born in the 1980s, who tend to go on family trips with parents and children. The car has a length of 4,770mm, a width of 1,920mm and a height of 1,640mm.

Its hybrid powertrain Yundong Shuangqing II, developed by Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (China) Co, is updated from the Yundong Shuangqing hybrid power train introduced in 2012.
