China's ICBC targets listing in October

Bank of China, the country's top lender, plans to submit its listing application
to the Hong Kong stock exchange early next month, a Hong Kong newspaper reported
on Monday.
"According to a ICBC internal memo obtained by mainland media, the bank is to
submit its listing application around July 1 ... and it is targeting a listing
in October," Takungpao, a Hong Kong Chinese daily reported on Monday.
Hong Kong media had reported the bank was to file its US$12 billion initial
public offering application this week and aimed for a trading debut in early
September.
