Three foreign tourists killed in balloon explosion

A hot-air balloon carrying five tourists went out of control and exploded over Lipu county, in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region near Guilin at about 9:00 am on Wednesday.

Three of the tourists who have been confirmed to be dead were foreign visitors. Their nationalities have not yet been identified. The other two are missing, and rescue workers have rushed to the scene to searching for them.

The balloon had taken off from nearby Yangshuo county.
