          The Xinxing Coal Mine’s General Manger Yue Chaosheng, the Deputy General Manager in charge of production safety Liu Zongtuan, and Chief Engineer Dong Qinkui have been dismissed from their positions following the gas blast that killed at least 42 miners and left 66 still trapped, Xinhua reported.

          Twenty-nine miners injured in the gas explosion at a coal mine in Heilongjiang are hospitalized to receive treatment. Six of the miners seriously injured are in a stable condition, Xinhua News Agency reported.

          CCTV (18:17)

          Five of the miners seriously injured in the coal mine blast are in a stable condition, CCTV reported.

          156 rescue workers from other cities have arrived at the site to assist in the rescue operation, which is currently focused on the repairing of the ventilation system.

          Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang has arrived at the site of Xinxing Coal Mine, where a gas explosion has killed at least 42 miners and trapped 66 underground, in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Xinhua reported.

          The death toll has risen to 42, and 66 remain trapped.

          Two research teams of 150 people from Jixi City and Shuangyashan City are on their way to assist the rescue at Hegang.

          Most of the 47 injured miners are suffering from burns, fractures and carbon monoxide poisoning.

          CCTV:

          Rescuers have found 37 bodies, while 71 remain trapped 500 metres underground following a gas blast.

          11 rescue teams have been organized, CCTV reported.

          Among the 48 injured miners, one is in a critical condition.
