          "China has maintained a clear and persistent stance on opposing US arms sales to Taiwan. The US stance undermines China's core interests," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a regular news briefing on Thursday.
          

          Qin's comments came after US Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein said on Wednesday that US arms sales to Taiwan were hurting closer ties with China.
          

          China curtailed some military exchanges with the United States following the Pentagon's decision in January to sell an arms package worth about $6.4 billion to Taiwan, including Patriot missiles, Black Hawk helicopters and minesweepers.
