Ever wondered what the future of transportation will look like? The short movie at the SAIC-GM Pavilion shares its views with visitors in a high-tech, 4D theater.

Using a 360-degree theater screen 6.5-meter high and 35-meter wide, and motion seats, the theater in the SAIC-GM Pavilion has received positive feedback from visitors looking for the ultimate 4D movie experience.

The movie focuses on three different stories and how modern transportation has changed lives. Set in Shanghai in 2030, the movie shows cars that can park on balconies, how transportation helps a blind girl to go anywhere in the city and how a pregnant woman can quickly get to the hospital when she's in labor.

It introduces advanced technologies, such as new energy vehicles and mobility Internet, to show that problems like traffic jams and accidents will be virtually nonexistent.

The movie was shot using a 4K LED high-definition camera and uses 30 projectors in the screening.

Talent from some of the world's best film production companies in Hong Kong and the United States helped create the movie. Some of these worked on the technological team for the Harry Potter films, while others work for Pixomondo, the company that provided special effects for the movie 2012.

SAIC-GM pavilion organizers pulled out all the stops to give visitors the ultimate viewing experiences, according to Liu Qi, the deputy director of the SAIC-GM Pavilion.

With the advanced technology used to create the film, visitors feel as if they are part of the movie. If nothing else, they can feel special from having sat in the motion seats that use the same technology as Ferraris.
