Local farmers place rice seedlings in rows at Heping village, Xinjin township, Yunyang county in Chongqing, Southwest China, on May 20, 2013, the eve of "Grain Buds" - the 8th solar term of the year. According to the Chinese lunar calendar, "Grain Buds" means the seeds of fall grain are becoming full but not ripe yet, and usually begins around May 21 and ends around June 6.
