Company under investigation for employing minors

A company is suspected of illegally employing minors in the wake of an investigation in the Shenzhen special economic zone, Guangdong province, Southern Metropolis Daily reported.

The Fuyong neighborhood committee immediately launched an investigation when it was reported by locals that Click Technology had employed minors. The teenagers were reported to be working more than 12 hours a day for the company.

The findings indicated Click Technology may have illegally employed minors, as the company provided fake employee resumes to investigators.

Further investigation is ongoing.

According to Chinese Labor Laws and relevant regulations and rules, it is prohibited to employ workers under the age of 18, violations will be punished according to the relevant laws.
