China’s astounding economic growth

As for the haters on China, their "horrible" system has moved them from what was called "The Sick Man of Asia" to the world's 2nd largest economy, and moving toward 1st. They have, from the article, a 7.8 growth rate this year, while ours is around 2.8.

In a 4,000-year-old society like China's, with almost 1.4 BILLION people, the advances since 1980 are nothing less than astounding. While no one thinks they don't need reforms, all they have to do is look at any other great country's record of economic problems and political and social unrest over that same time period, and not follow in their footsteps.
