80 percent of singles in poll seek true love with dating apps

Mobile phone apps have become an important tool for singles to look for true love, a recent survey said.

The survey was conducted by Baihe.com, one of the country's largest online matchmaking websites. It polled nearly 10,000 people from 31 provinces and cities across the country through a questionnaire, trying to find out how people look at marriage and love.

According to the report, more than 80 percent polled singles said they had downloaded dating apps to look for a boy or girl friend.

Most singles believed that the main sources of happiness are relatives, health and marriage. And more than 50 percent of people said they are not happy with their current situation, report said.

Meanwhile, people with higher educational backgrounds have stronger feeling of happiness. More than 50 percent of the people polled who hold a master's degree said they felt happy.
