Expo apparel on display

Elegant Prosper, the global clothing partner of the China pavilion at the Milan Expo this year, has put on show in Beijing a series of dresses with an Expo theme.

The theme of the fair is "Feeding the planet, energy for life", and the dresses carry the ideas of water, earth and sky. For example, an upper garment is made of materials that are in blue and in the shape of water drops.

Zhou Tao, designer of the series, says that in addition to traditional clothes-making techniques and materials, great use was made of 3D printing technology.

The Beijing exhibition ends on March 15, and the clothes will go on show in Shanghai and Hangzhou later.
