Construction of the steel ladder with handrails was completed in November and cost one million yuan ($148,000). A tourism development company signed an agreement with the local government to turn the formerly inaccessible village into a tourist destination, which involves establishing a visitor center, a cableway to the cliff village, a path and bridge along the cliff, a path along Guli canyon and other facilities.
