US' lukewarm reaction to flu

As the A(H1N1) flu spreads its tentacles the media in the US, where there have been more than 3,500 confirmed cases, seems to be taking the pandemic quite lightly, says an article in China Youth Daily. Excerpt:
The confirmed cases of H1N1 flu have exceeded the 3,500 mark in the US. Yet, it's no big deal for them, it seems.
The media there, which enshrines the principle of open information, is rather quiet on the subject.
