Online predator jailed for rape of girl, 16

A farmer from Hunan province who blackmailed a 16-year-old from Taiwan into having sex with him has been sentenced to seven years for rape.

Twenty-six-year-old Chen Li got to know the girl in an online chatroom in August, Chaoyang district court said on Monday.

Xu Qingdai, the presiding judge from Chaoyang Juvenile Court, told METRO college-educated Chen first chatted with the girl, who lives in Beijing, on Aug 1.
