Tencent denies reports of Malaysia investment
Chinese Internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd denied reports on Wednesday that it purchased a stake in a Malaysian communications company. Tencent said it "does not have any investment" in Patimas Computers Bhd, a leading information and communications technology provider in Malaysia. Patimas also denied having received any offer from the Chinese company. Malaysia's top Chinese-language newspaper China Press reported last week that Guangdong-based Tencent acquired a 15 percent stake in Patimas to explore markets outside China.
