Hair stylist creates novel art of Potala Palace

Wang Xiaojiu, a hair stylist from Jilin city of Jilin province, has created a vivid painting of Lhasa's Potala Palace in two and a half hours using nothing but hair from the floor of his shop. The work is 2.3 meters long and 2.2 meters wide.

Wang started working as a hair stylist 16 years ago, but he didn't hit upon the idea until late last year when he decided to write out "2015" and his nickname, "Xiaojiu" (Little Nine), with hair from the floor of his shop.

From then on, Wang fell in love with the art and created portraits of kung fu star Bruce Lee as well as fictional characters such as Iron Man, the Monkey King, Sakuragi Hanamichi and Sailor Moon.
