The 13th Beijing International Film Festival will be held from Apr 22 to 29 in Beijing, China.
Chinese director Zhang Yimou would be jury president for this year's Tiantan Award.
"The future development of Chinese film market should not only be bigger and stronger, but most importantly, Chinese films must go out," said award-winning director Zhang Yimou at a press conference during the 13th Beijing International Film Festival in the Chinese capital on April 25, 2023.
The 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BIFF) kicked off Saturday at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center.
The 13th Beijing International Film Festival kicked off in the northern suburbs on Friday, with more than 200 celebrities, including iconic director Zhang Yimou, the jury president of the Tiantan Award, gathering for the opening ceremony at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center.
A themed short film for the upcoming 13th Beijing International Film Festival, The Big Order in Spring, starring actors Zu Feng, Wu Lei and actress Sun Yi, was officially released.
