Tickets are not required for certain areas of the Race Walk route, so spectators will be able to watch for free. Get there early, as space is likely to fill up quickly. Please note that The Mall is only accessible to ticket holders.

This event is expected to see the streets of London packed with passionate fans. As it's an outdoor event, spectators are advised to come prepared for all types of weather conditions.

Due to road closures, parking suspensions and the large numbers of spectators anticipated, London 2012 is encouraging people to walk, cycle or use public transport to make access to the events as easy as possible. Spectators who are travelling from further afield should book early and stay in local accommodation.
