Official who showed up at work in shorts fired

Updated: 2009-09-10 09:57 An official of the shipping administration bureau of Haikou, Hainan province, was fired because he showed up at work wearing a pair of shorts on Monday. Xu, a deputy section chief of the bureau, was reported by a shipping logistics firm, where the official was on a law-enforcement inspection visit.
