Shaanxi deputy county head dismissed

A deputy county head in Shaanxi province was dismissed from his position as he violated Party regulations by using public funds for foreign trips, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday.

Ye Qingchun, deputy chief of Ningshan county, traveled with his wife using public funds in June and July, in a clear breach of Party regulations.

The Party disciplinary committee of Ankang city, which oversees the county, punished Ye and announced a further investigation into other alleged misconduct.

The Party disciplinary committee also punished officials who went with Ye, including Shi Gongfu, director of the county education and sports bureau, and Wang Jian, deputy principal of Ningshan Senior High School. Several other officials received warnings.
