Taiwan designer calls for bold creations

Taiwan designer Jesus Yeh, a judge at China Graduate Fashion Week, encouraged students to make bold creations in fashion design.

He was pleased by design works from the College of Design Art and Apparel Engineering, Xiamen University of Technology, calling them “a perfect combination of coherence, art ideas and market consideration.”

But he also urged young designers to go beyond conventional topics, such as Chinese and ethnic elements.

Graduate fashion week runs from April 24 to 28 in Beijing.
