When a student graduates from the college, a large part of his/her knowledge has already been out of date. A graduate-to-be once said that the equipment in the army was more advanced than those taught in the universities. After three years study, one almost could not keep up with the changing times. These words could make people feel deeply worried. Those who had the experiences of buying fresh vegetables in the market would know "fresh" was the most important thing. This was also true in knowledge. In the ever-changing military fields, to improve the knowledge and expand its life, "fresh" was the most important factor. The universities must teach the newest knowledge to the students , otherwise,　the knowledge could not use for a long time.

People often said that to give a student a glass of water, the teacher must have a barrel of it. The meaning in it was not as simple as it read. It was not just the problem of a glass of water or a barrel of water. It was the essence of the water. In the era of knowledge explosion, the time and energy of a person was so limited that one could not go to study everything. So one had to select to learn. Obviously, the most effective way of expending the life of knowledge was to increase the value of it.

Some rich people prefer goods with famous brand. They think that famous brand meant high quality. It can not be left behind years later or dozens of years later. To put this theory into knowledge learning, people can get the same result. To learn "famous brand" means to learn high quality knowledge. There is a metaphor goes like this: Illiterates in the past were those who could not read and write, but nowadays they are those who don't know how to study. Therefore, the teachers should pay more attention to methods of learning and process of thinking to get the scientific conclusion. Thus, when the students knew how to study and how to renew his knowledge, then, to keep knowledge "fresh" would not be just a dream in the future.
