Gas projects to be launched in Jinan

Hong Kong and China Gas Co Ltd has expanded its China
investments by signing on for two piped gas ventures in East China's Shandong
Province, with a total project investment of 250 million yuan (US$30 million)
each.
It will set up joint ventures to supply and manage piped gas in
the city of Jinan with a 60 per cent equity interest and in Weihai with a 50 per
cent stake, the company said in a statement.
Jinan Pipeline Gas Company and Weihai Gasworks General Company,
the local partners of the projects, will hold the balance of the respective
ventures.
The projects will have a registered capital of 100 million yuan
(US$12 million) each.
