Belgium's tennis star Kim Clijsters has leapt from 133rd to 38th in the WTA
tennis rankings after winning the Indian Wells title this weekend.

Positions among the 20 top-ranked
players were unchanged, with Indian Wells runner-up Lindsay Davenport of the
United States remaining at No.1, stretching her lead over France's Amelie
Mauresmo from 271 to 343 points.
Elite women's players resume action on Thursday at Key Biscayne, Florida,
where fourth-ranked American Serena Williams and her ninth-rated sister Venus
will compete.
