Shakira leads the 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards nominees

Colombian pop sensation Shakira leads the nomination list for the seventh annual installment of Latin Grammy Awards with six nods. The songbird is among others nominated for the categories of Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Short Form Music Video, all for "La Tortura".

She, additionally, also vies for Album Of The Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Album, and Best Short Form Music Video categories for "Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1". Following close behind with four nominations are Guatemalan popster Ricardo Arjona, Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas and Argentinian guitarist and vocalist Gustavo Cerati.

Besides them all, there's also the likes of Puerto Rican group Calle 13 who gets three nominations, Andrea Bocelli who's been nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Album for "Amor", and Black Eyed Peas vying for Record Of The Year for their collaboration with Sergio Mendes on "Mas Que Nada".

The nominations were announced Tuesday September 26th in New York. This year's awards will be presented Nov. 2 at New York's Madison Square Garden and broadcast live on the Univision.
